First, I would like to take a moment to thank you for visiting my site. Wayvren is a real labor of love and I am truly humbled to have this opportunity to share it with you.

Using bayesian statistics, human nature, and faith in peoples' capacity to love and understand one another I have tried to build Wayvren into a self-regulating ecosystem where honesty, novelty, and thoughtfulness flourish.

That being said, Wayvren is highly experimental and imperfect. While using Wayvren you will experience bugs. And Wayvren will experience downtime. I ask that you do not let Wayvren's imperfections ruin your enjoyment of the site. And, when you do experience a problems, you let us know by contacting us.

How to Play:

  • Voting:

    Voice your opinion on a post by selecting “like” or “dislike” and paying 100 berries.

  • Wagering:

    After voting on a post you can use the berries you paid to place a wager on that post. Any berries not wagered will be returned. Winning doubles your bet while loosing nets you nothing.

  • Berries:

    Berries are the currency of Wayvren. Use them to pay for votes and receive them as a reward for successful wagers.

  • Liege:

    The outcome of every wager is determined the vote another user cast on the same post. We refer to the user who cast this vote as the “liege” of your vote.

  • Vassals:

    Votes whose wager outcomes were determined by your votes are referred to as your “Vassals”.

What is a vote?

 A vote is how you express your opinion on a post. There are two options: like and dislike. Once you have selected and submitted your opinion your vote cannot be changed. Each vote costs 100 berries to cast.

What is a wager?

 Wagers are a chance to earn back the berries spent on a vote. After voting on a post you have the opportunity to bet 1 - 100 berries on another person liking or disliking that post. Any berries not bet are returned to you so long as the minimum bet of 1 berry is made. You will receive double your bet for a winning wager and nothing for a losing wager.

How do I win a wager?

 Wagers can have one of two win conditions. A win condition can either be a random user likes the post or a random user dislikes the post. After you submit a wager a random vote is selected from the set of all votes placed prior to and including the vote made with your wager. If the selected vote opinion matches the opinion specified in your wager's win condition you have won.

What are berries?
